Simple & Delicious Beef Stew
Made with bone broth, beef tallow and high quality beef this stew is not only delicious, comforting and super nutritious... it's good FOR you!
Ingredients
- 3 tbsp beef tallow (or olive oil and butter)
- 2 lb. stew meat
- 1 whole medium onion, thinly sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 5-7 cups beef bone broth
- 2 Tbsp. tomato paste
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp. paprika
- 1/2 tsp. Kosher salt
- Freshly ground black pepper
- 4 whole carrots, chopped (I like thick chunks)
- 4 whole potatoes, quartered
- Minced parsley for topping
Method
- Dry your stew meat with a paper towel
- Heat the tallow and brown your stew meat (in batches so you don’t over crowd)
- Remove stew meat and set aside
- Add your carrots and onion and sauté until fragrant
- Add your garlic and saute for another minute
- Add your bone broth and stew meat, bring to a boil then simmer on super low for at least 45 minutes (2 hours is ideal)
- Add your potatoes and simmer until potatoes are soft
- Ladle into bowls and top with parsley
Enjoy!
