Apple Dutch Babies
These Apple Dutch Babies are super easy and seriously delicious.

The key is to whisk the batter as smooth as possible, and, like all Dutch Baby recipes, to pour in a hot Dutch Oven.
Ingredients
(For the apples)
-
2 Tbsp butter
-
2 apples, thinly sliced
-
2–3 Tbsp brown sugar
-
1 tsp cinnamon
-
Pinch nutmeg
-
Pinch salt
-
½ tsp vanilla

(For the Dutch baby batter)
-
3 eggs
-
½ cup flour
-
½ cup milk (I use goat milk)
-
1 Tbsp sugar
-
1 tsp vanilla
-
¼ tsp salt
-
2 Tbsp butter (for the pan)
Method
1. In a 10-inch cast-iron or ovenproof skillet, melt 2 Tbsp butter. Add the apple slices, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and vanilla. Cook 5–7 minutes until soft and glossy.
Remove from heat.
2. Place the skillet with the apples into a 425°F oven while you make the batter.
3. Make the batter. whisk together eggs, flour, milk, sugar, vanilla & salt until completely smooth
4. Pull the hot skillet from the oven (careful!). Add 2 Tbsp butter and let it melt over the apples. Pour the batter directly over the apples.
5. Bake at 425°F for 18–22 minutes, until beautifully puffed and golden.
6. Dust with powdered sugar & serve with maple syrup

enjoy!
